Review By Juliet

Three strangers become traveling companions on the way to Quiet Knoll, a quiet town with a past. Little do they realize the terror that’s in store when they must band together to escape the town. Another gem from X-Strike Studios, Silent Horror, takes all the best elements of the Survival Horror video games that kept you clutching your controller long into the wee hours of morning. However, you don’t have to be a gamer to appreciate how great this movie really is.
The thing that strikes me (no pun intended) every time I pop one of X-Strike’s films into the DVD player, is how good everything looks. The menu screens, the cover art, and of course, the film itself are crisp and professional looking. Sometimes though, crisp can be deceptive, but not in the case of Silent Horror. This movie’s got so much heart it’s contagious. The level of care and enthusiasm in every aspect of this film, from script to soundtrack, is really refreshing.
The DVD includes several commentary tracks, director’s notes, outtakes and deleted scenes. Trailers for other X-Strike films are also included on the disc. If you’re a fan of really great (truly) independent films and/or someone who loves a good parody of some classic video games, you’ll want to own this movie.
